    • In the Federal Census of 1880, Henry J. & Delle, ages 34 & 31, are living at Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., MI. They have two children: Nellie M. 8 and Frank R. 4.

      In the 1900 Federal Census, Henry Ogden, Jr. aged 54 is an inmate in the National Military Home in Marion, Grant Co., IN. It says he is married and is a chair maker.

      An affadavit dated 24 June 1880 states that Henry was diseased with scurvy which he contracted in the US Army; this led to his being almost totally disabled. (source for image of document: Nancy Skoog)
