  George N. Remington is 3 years old in the 1880 Federal Census at Suffield, CT. In the 1920 Federal Census, George is age 42 and his wife Bertha is 39. They are living at Suffield, CT, next door to George's father and family. Their four children, ages 9 - 17, are with them. George's occupation is given as tobacco farmer, as is his father's. George is pictured in a paperback book about the history of Old Suffield (see Google Books). In 1930 they are still at Suffield. George is 53 and Bertha is 50. According to the census data, they have been married 30 years. Their two sons, Charles 24, and George 19, are with them. The family is living next to daughter Lola Shields and her family, and a couple of doors down from son Harold and his wife Alice.
