Notes - Emory Remington was chairman of brass, woodwinds and percussion when he died in 1971 after playing 1st trombone in the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra for twenty-six years. Emory and his brother Frederick taught at the Eastman School of Music at Rochester, New York from 1922 till 1946. Frederick played trumpet in the orchestra.
