    • In a document dated 3 June 1856, Joseph Remington, brother of Mary Sheldon Remington & Benjamin Remington et al, is mentioned as being of Oswego Co., NY. In the 1850 Federal Census, he is at Mexico, Oswego Co., NY, with his family. Joseph is age 51, his wife Lydia is age 48; and seven children aged 6 - 23 are in the household. (David is not listed, although he listed as age 14 in 1860 -- see notes for Lydia.)
