In the 1860 Federal Census, Amos & Clorina, ages 53 & 45, are living at Jersey, Licking Co., OH. They have eight children in the household. In the 1870 Federal Census, Amos & Clarina are 63 & 55, living in Jersey, Licking Co., Ohio, with the following family members: Lucy 28, Mary 22, Austin 20, Howard 18, Charles 17, Lester 13, Florence 10, & Effie 6. They are near James & Betsey Remington. James & Amos are first cousins. In the 1880 Federal Census, Amos & "Clorina" are still at Jersey, Licking County, Ohio, near Joseph Remington -- probably his brother. It says his father was born in RI and his mother in NY. Amos is 72, Clorina 64, and with them are three daughters: Lusy, Florance, & Effie. Charley Clemons, age 10, is also in the household.
