    • In the 1870 and 1880 Federal Censuses, Charles & Melissa are living at Savoy, Berkshire Co., MA. In 1870 their daughter is 2; in 1880 she is 11. Also in the household in 1880 are Seth & Hannah Snow, probably Melissa's parents.

      In addition to these children, Charles & Melissa had a son and two daughters who died shortly after birth (male 12 June 1866; female 15 Dec 1876; female 2 June 1879; source: Savoy, MA).

      According to his death record, Charles died at age 41y 7m 29d of pericarditis (duration of disease 12 days).
