  In the 1870 & 1880 Federal Censuses, William Harps is married to Elizabeth and living at New Bedford, MA. In 1880 they have four children: Susan C. 11, Gracie 10, Edward 7, & John 4. In 1900, William & Alice Harps are living at New Bedford, MA. I assume Alice is his second wife, although I have as yet been unable to find a marriage record.
