- In the 1860 Federal Census, William & Harriet are living at Smithfield, RI, with their infant son, Albert. They are nearby William's mother Ann, and sister Lucia Whipple and her husband Charles.
In 1870, William, Harriet, & son Albert 10 are living at Adams, Berkshire Co., MA. There are other RI Folletts nearby.
In 1880 they are at Woonsocket, RI, with their two children, Albert T. 20, and Annie M. 5. Also in the household is William's widowed mother, Ann E. Follett; her age is given as 70.
In 1900 William & Harriet are still at Woonsocket, living on Diamond Hill Rd.;he is 68 and she is 70. According to the census data, they have been married 43 years. With them is a boarder named Charles Gorman, 33.
In 1910 William I. Follett is 75 and Harriett is 77. They are still at Woonsocket, and have been married 54 years.

(Remington) Follett, was born in 1834, in Smithfield, now Lincoln, and was educated in the district school. He came to Woonsocket, locating on his present farm, in 1877. He learned the cooper's trade, and followed it for 20 years. Since that time he has followed farming. He married Harriet, daughter of Thomas Harris, of Smithfield, in 1856."
