    • In the 1880 Federal Census, Rhoda and her husband Joel Remington are living at Waterbury, Washington Co., VT. With them is Joel's stepdaughter, therefore presumably Rhoda's daughter by a previous marriage: Minnie Rand, age 15. Further research confirms this: in the 1870 Federal Census, S.H. & Rhoda W. Rand are living at Waterbury with a daughter, Minnie, age 5.

      Rhoda's middle and maiden names came from Doty family notes (sent to me on CD).
