  • Notes
    • In the 1880 Federal Census, Hannah Remington, age 44 b Scotland, is living at Civil Bend, Union Co., Dakota Territory. With her is daughter Grace, age 14, b MI (parents b VT/Scot). Apparently Hannah's husband and son Thomas were mining for gold in Wyoming at this time.

In 1900, Hannah Remington, widow age 67, is living at Logan, Blaine Co., OK. According to the census data, she has had two children, both of whom are still living. Son Thomas and his family are also living in the same locality.

In a signed statement dated 7 Nov 1896, Hannah said she was age 62 [b c1834?]and living with her son-in-law and daughter Grace at Watonga, Blaine Co., OK. She states that she moved from the farm in SD to OK on 26 Nov 1894. She mentions the river flooding part of the family farm in SD, such that crops were ruined and some of the animals drowned. Her primary reason for moving to OK to be with her daughter was her poor health -- her lungs and eyes are bad.
