    • I am not sure that Clark belongs in this family, but I am placing him here based on census data for Samuel's family, as well as similarity of family names and general proximity of residence in the censuses. However, this needs more research to confirm.

      In the 1850 Federal Census, Clark & Elizabeth are living at Otego, Otsego Co., NY; this is right next to Delaware County. Clark & Elizabeth have two children: Martin 3 & Mahitable 1.

      In the 1860, 1870, & 1880 censuses, the family is living at Sidney, Delaware Co., NY. Several other Remingtons are also living in Delaware County, so this is one reason that I have placed Clark in the family with these Remingtons, who are all related. Also, from the census data for Samuel Remington, it seems that Samuel and his wife had a son during the time period of Clark's birth, so I have assumed that Clark is that son, most likely the oldest of the siblings. This needs more research to confirm. (see notes for Samuel)
