  Judith is mentioned in the will of her father, Jeremiah Ellis: his will, dated 29 May 1769, proved in WG 27 July 1771, mentions wife Priscilla in terms that suggest she was at least a second wife. He named sons Ayres Ellis, Gideon Ellis, William Ellis, and Jeremiah Ellis; and daughters Judeath Austin, apparently wife of Robert Austin, and Tabitha Wait. Grandson Augustus Ellis was the son of Ayres Ellis. Other grandchildren were Rufus and Gideon Ellis, sons of Gideon, grandson Wait Ellis, granddaughters Sarah Strait, Alce Wait, and Ellen Wood (WG Wills, 2:112-116).
